The Program

Intro to Mindfulness
What it is: An introduction to all things mindfulness, from its origins in wisdom traditions to the modern mindfulness movement.
This is for you if: If you’re mindfulness-curious and really want to learn the fundamentals.
Commitment: 2 hours
Who: Anyone and Everyone who is looking to learn more about how mindfulness came to be, and where its evolution lies.

From red robes to iPhone apps, MNDFLness has had quite the evolution. This introductory portion of our program will cover everything from its traditional history as it is rooted in Buddhism to Modern Mindfulness that has gone “mainstream.”
Mindfulness Intensive Training
What it is: Twenty-five hours of comprehensive and immersive mindfulness content designed for self-study. It covers science, theory, technique, skillsets, ethics, conduct, and real-world application.
This is for you if: you want to thoroughly understand mindfulness through all of its facets and fully integrate this practice into your life.
Commitment: 25 hours
Who: Prequalified practitioners (Coaches, Therapists, Yoga Instructors, Social Workers, HR & Education Professionals, Dharma Teachers & Leaders, etc)

This is where you become a part of the story of MNDFLness. On your own time and at your own speed, make your way through 25 hours of expert-led content. In this intensive course which is delivered fully online, you will cover the integral relationship between mindfulness and awareness and how they work together to give rise to presence. Gain an understanding of both the benefits and challenges to the practice, as well as an evidence-based approach, and the neuroscience behind it all.
You’ll also get into how to establish a practice, deliver instruction, hold space for others, ascertain appropriate leadership, and how you can share mindfulness with others. This intensive is specifically designed to get you really grounded and well-rounded, so you can confidently and safely share mindfulness practices with others professionally and personally, not to mention taking your own practice to the next level.
Take the MIT for a DIY learning experience — think of it like auditing a class — or build in the community-based container of the Live Practicum.

Live Practicum
What it is: A collaborative learning experience including self-discovery, accountability of mentorship and the support and camaraderie of community.
This is for you if: you’re a pre-qualified individual who wants to deepen your practice through self-discovery and the diverse perspectives of your facilitators and peers. Gain experience through practicing with mentors and fellow participants while learning how you uniquely embody mindfulness before sharing it with your communities.
Available Spots: 100 / class
Commitment: 20 hours
Who: Practitioners taking the MIT that want a live and interactive experience and would benefit from the accountability of mentorship, and the support and camaraderie of community.

What it is: Once you have completed the previous modules, this certification weekend is an opportunity to fine tune all that you’ve learned including practice, feedback, direct coaching, assessment and processes which will prepare you to share this professionally with your communities.
This is for you: if you're a pre-qualified individual who wants to bring your practice to life professionally through a full certification.* You must have successfully completed the MIT & Live Practicum attendance and assessment requirements to enroll.

Commitment: 18 hours
Who: Applicants that have successfully completed the MIT & Practicum attendance and assessment requirements.

David Perrin
David Perrin is Director of MNDFL Teacher Training, original Head Teacher of MNDFL Greenwich Village, and co-founder of MNDFL Ed. school-based program. Collaborator, syncretist, facilitator of circle in its myriad forms, David is a meditation mentor and friend to students, trainees, and fellow instructors. As creative arts therapist, social venture business co-owner, philanthropist, partner and father, David articulates the multiplicity of meaning encompassed by a modern practice of mindfulness.
